Melodie Summers
My experience in the insurance/legal field began in 1976 in an insurance defense firm adjusting workers compensation claims for employers and their insurance companies. I “jumped the fence” two years later and began working in a firm representing plaintiffs in personal injury claims. In 1988 I founded and operated my own public adjusting firm. I continued to help injury victims while attending law school.
Since being admitted to the Utah State Bar I have represented hundreds of injured people to get the compensation they deserve. Knowing the insurance industry from both sides — defense and plaintiff’s claims — gives me an edge. I know how the insurance industry thinks and works, and I use that knowledge to achieve good settlements for my clients. If we don’t reach a settlement, I will go to court for you.
Insurance companies should be held accountable for the promises they make when they accept a person’s premium. My work in insurance bad faith litigation helps hold insurance companies to their promises and protects the rights of innocent victims who have been injured not once, but twice – by the party responsible for their injuries, and by their own insurance company’s withholding of benefits.
I have represented both men and women in all areas of Personal Injury Law.
